General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, recognised and praised the members of the criminal investigation team as they revealed the identity of individuals that were involved in the stealing from a money transfer car.
The money transfer car, that belonged to a private company in Dubai, contained AED14 million/ $3,835,616 at the time of the incident; it was later on returned to its rightful owners within 12 hours.
The theft was a result of a breach of security within the operational reports that belonged to money transfer companies.
Due to a result of the leakage, the group of Asian men, went to the scene, stole the AED14 million and fled the area.
Forces found out that the group of defendants were located in a neighbouring Emirate, and once capturing them, the money was found untouched and immediately returned to its owners.
The men are being prosecuted for their crimes.
