#BBMAs: Kanye West nominated alongside Kirk Franklin at 2021 Billboard Music Awards, Top Gospel Artist category

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are set to take place in just a few weeks and the nominees have finally been revealed!
The nominees were unveiled on Thursday (April 29) by the official chart company. The Weeknd leads with the most nominations as he’s nominated 16 times! He’s up for top artist, top male artist, top Hot 100 artist, top streaming songs artist and top song sales artist, among other categories. Fun fact: if The Weeknd wins in all of his categories, he would surpass Taylor Swift‘s record (23 career wins) as the second-most-winning artist in BBMA history.
Taylor‘s up for four awards, and could tie Drake‘s record for most wins of all time (27).

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are set to air on NBC and will broadcast in across the country at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 23, from the Microsoft Theater.

WOW, so British PM Boris Johnson's personal phone number has been online for 15 years?!!!!

Boris Johnson's personal mobile phone number has been freely available on the internet for the past 15 years, it has been revealed.
It was published in a think tank press release in 2006, but never deleted - and appears to be the one the PM uses.
Questions have been raised in recent weeks over who has access to ministers' personal phone numbers, amid a wider row about lobbying and influence. The PM had reportedly been advised by senior officials to change his number, but this has been denied by Downing Street last week.
Callers to the number on Friday heard an automated message saying the phone was “switched off" and telling them to try later or to send a text.
The government denied there was a security lapse. Home Office minister Victoria Atkins insisted that the prime minister “knows his responsibilities when it comes to national security.” and she criticized media for revealing the fact that the number was in the public domain.
Johnson is already facing questions about his text and WhatsApp message exchanges with business leaders and lobbyists.
He has denied doing anything wrong when he exchanged text messages with industrialist James Dyson last yaer and promised he would “fix” the tax rules for Dyson if he agreed to make ventilators for the National Health Service.

Kudos to the UAE as they send medical supplies to India to fight #COVID19 pandemic

A planeload of medical supplies from the UAE to help fight India’s surge in COVID-19 cases arrived in New Delhi, Arindam Bagchi, Spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, announced on Friday.
According to WAM, the supplies include 157 ventilators, 480 Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) machines used to ease breathing difficulties, and a variety of other equipment used to treat COVID-19. The generous gesture from the UAE will “take forward our warm, close and multifaceted relations, the Spokesperson said. India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar, thanked Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, for his solidarity with India at this time. “As always, we deeply value his good wishes and cooperation,” the Minister said.

Kamala Harris to become first VP with Madame Tussauds wax figure

Vice President Kamala Harris made history as the first woman, first Black person and first Asian American to hold that office.
That's why she will also be the first vice president to be honored by Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York City. The museum traditionally creates a wax figure for presidents, but they decided to give Harris "an honor that has never-before been extended to a vice president," according to a news release. "We're honored to create a figure for Vice President Harris and reflect this significant moment in U.S. history for guests inside Madame Tussauds New York," said Brittany Williams, spokesperson for Madame Tussauds, when the announcement was made just before Harris and President Joe Biden marked their first 100 days in office.

The museum shared images of both Harris' and Mr. Biden's figures as they are being made.
"The clay heads were created by a team of studio artists based in London and represent meticulous detail captured by researching hundreds of images to achieve an exact likeness of the famous U.S. leader's faces," Madam Tussauds said.

The heads took six weeks to create and the full figures will likely take four to six months to complete. The figures will wear outfits that replicate those worn by the president and vice president during their inauguration ceremony.
Christopher John Rogers, who designed Harris' now-iconic purple coat and dress worn at the inauguration, will also create a custom outfit for the museum.

The figures are set to be unveiled later this year in an "Oval Office" exhibit at the museum.

Sad news for boxing fans! Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight may not happen

The mega-fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is on the brink of being called off, with alternative opponents for both Britain's world heavyweight champions already on stand-by.
Fury's US promoter Bob Arum said on Thursday night: 'We keep passing deadlines for Eddie Hearn to deliver the deal he keeps talking about and we are out of time.
Once again he is saying next week but next week never comes.' Legal arbitration about Deontay Wilder's right to a trilogy fight with Fury, who sensationally knocked him out to gain the WBC world title, have been delayed even longer than the Joshua contract but have been accelerated this week in New York.

Photos: Mark Zuckerberg's disguise sparks a wave of memes across the internet! LOL

Mark Zuckerberg claims the images of him plastered in sunscreen was part of a failed attempt to disguise himself from photographers while surfing in Hawaii.
His security followed behind in close proximity on a boat, onlookers say.
Pictures of the Facebook CEO taken in July last year sparked a wave of memes across the internet by Twitter users who dubbed him the 'mime surfer' and suggested he had been taking fashion tips from a snake.
Now Zuckerberg has claimed he 'put a ton of sunscreen on my face' in a plan that 'backfired' to avoid being recognized. The tech billionaire said he was 'happy to give the internet some laughs' as a result. Speaking during an Instagram live with its CEO Adam Mosseri he said:
'I really should have thought that one through more. 'I noticed there was this paparazzi guy following us and, so I was like, 'Oh I don't want him to recognize me so you know what I'm gonna do? I'm just gonna put a ton of sunscreen on my face.'
And that backfired.
'The delta between how cool you think you look and the worst photo a paparazzi can take is pretty funny.' 'No one needs to be wearing that much sunscreen. If someone wants to post a sunscreen meme, it’s cool. I’m happy to give the internet some laughs.
'I'm glad people can laugh about it. I laugh about it and I think it's pretty funny.'
