Viral Video: Pastor raises a man from the dead in South Africa #ResurrectionChallenge

A firm of South African undertakers have said they will sue a Christian pastor who 'raised a man from the dead' in a stunt at their mortuary.

Alleluia Ministries pastor Alph Lukau claimed he had brought a dead man back to life in front of a crowd of people near Johannesburg. Footage of the event showed the man lying still in the coffin before sitting up again when the pastor puts his hands on him. But Kings and Queens Funerals were not amused by the stunt, saying it had caused 'malicious damage to our image'.
In the video the pastor speaks theatrically into a microphone, introducing supposed family members of the man in the coffin. He invites the crowd to follow him in prayer, calling out Jesus' name before waving his hands at the 'deceased' man. The pastor then hands over the microphone, leans over the 'dead' man, and puts his hand on his chest. Suddenly the man in the coffin sits up and acts his part, looking around as though astounded by what had happened.
The funeral provider said in a statement: 'We would like to distance ourselves from the supposed resurrection of a deceased man by Alleluia Ministries who allegedly was at our mortuary. Lukau nonetheless insisted the 'resurrection' was real, saying: 'An astounding miracle took place in the House of God this morning. 'A dead man came back to life as the church of God prayed'.

This is the woman who bailed R Kelly out of prison on Monday, posting $100,000 just months after she met the singer.

Valencia Love, 47, meet Kelly in September according to a family member, who said that the two were both guests on a local cruise around Lake Michigan. Love had long been a fan of the singer, but after that meeting became 'obsessed' with Kelly said the family member, who asked not to be named.

That family member said it was a shock to learn however that Love had posted Kelly's bail, though she did reveal that the money was likely not much of a problem. This is because love received a seven-figure settlement after filing a wrongful death lawsuit against then hospital that was treating her young daughter when she passed away in 2010.
Love on the Blu, the restaurant that Love owns, was also purchased with the money she made in the suit. She bought the restaurant around the same time that she met Kelly according to records.

STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON THE OUTCOME OF FEBRUARY 23, 2019 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

My Dear Nigerians,

First and foremost, I give thanks to Almighty God Who has spared our lives to witness another victory for Nigerian democracy and victory for our party APC.

2. I thank the millions of Nigerians who voted to re-elect me as your president for the next four years. I am deeply humbled and profoundly grateful to you for judging me worthy of continuing to serve you and for your peaceful conduct.

3. In particular, I would like to thank Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for his masterful leadership as Co-chair of the Campaign Council. I would like to also thank the Party Chairman Adams Oshiomhole, the Director General of the Campaign Council Rotimi Amaechi, all members of the Presidential Campaign Council and other various Support Groups.

4. My grateful thanks to all those who contributed to the logistical expenses of the campaign in such a vast country like Nigeria.

5. I also thank the millions of volunteers, self-appointed overseers, canvassers, agents, escorts and sentries who sacrificed so much of their time and resources to ensure the success of these elections. I do not have the words adequate to thank them.

6. Although Saturday’s elections were relatively peaceful, troublemakers in a handful of states attempted to disrupt an otherwise orderly process. Security agencies will bring to justice all those arrested in the process.

7. I am very sad at the grievous loss of lives during these elections. Security agencies will step up their efforts to protect voters in the forthcoming State elections.

8. I would like to commend our security agencies, as severely overstretched as they are, for handling the difficult task of securing the country during the election period.

9. I will like to make a special appeal to my supporters not to gloat or humiliate the opposition. Victory is enough reward for your efforts.

10. We give thanks also to our Domestic and International observers for contributing to the success of our elections and for their interest in our country and our developing democracy.

11. The new Administration will intensify its efforts in Security, Restructuring the Economy and Fighting Corruption. We have laid down the foundation and we are committed to seeing matters to the end. We will strive to strengthen our unity and inclusiveness so that no section or group will feel left behind or left out.

12. I thank you for your support and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am grateful to God for sparing our lives to witness another milestone in Nigeria’s democratic development – namely conclusion of the Presidential election in an overwhelmingly peaceful manner.

2. I wish, Mr Chairman, to congratulate all the Presidential candidates and their teams on a hard-fought campaign. We may have had different views during the campaign, but the one thing most of us have in common is love of our country and our desire to improve conditions for Nigerians.

3. From the comments of several observers both local and foreign, it is obvious that the elections were both free and fair.

4. Now that the elections are over, and a winner declared, we must all see it as a victory for Nigeria, our dear country. That was why I encouraged my teeming supporters, in a speech I read earlier today, not to gloat. Our God-given victory is enough cause for joy, without deriding those who were in the opposition. All Nigerians, going forward, must stand in brotherhood, for a bright and fulfilling future.

5. I therefore want to assure that we will continue to engage all parties that have the best interest of Nigerians at heart. Our Government will remain inclusive and our doors will remain open. That is the way to build the country of our dream; safe, secure, prosperous, and free of impunity and primitive accumulation by those entrusted with public offices.

6. The hard work to deliver a better Nigeria continues, building on the foundations of peace, rule of law and opportunities for all. We will roll up our sleeves afresh, and give it our all. We have no other motive than to serve Nigeria with our hearts and might, and build a nation which we and generations to come can be proud of.

7. I am very grateful to the over 15 million citizens who voted for me, those who contributed in many ways in the running of our successful campaign, and those at home and abroad who expressed confidence in me and the APC Government. I thank you all.

8. I can assure that you will see a country moving to the Next Level, as we consolidate on our fundamental areas of securing the country, reviving the economy, and fighting corruption. Many other focal areas, as stated in our campaign manual, will be added, to the good things we plan for our country.

9. Let me pay tribute here to those who lost their lives either through accidents or mindless violence during the course of these elections. My heart and thoughts are with the families of the victims. May God comfort and give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

10. Election is not war, and should never be seen as a do or die affair. I pray that we all accept this democratic approach to elections, however contentious.

The story behind Adam Smith's wife, Billy Porter's 'Christian Siriano' tuxedo dress at 2019 #Oscars

Broadway performer and gender-fluid artist Billy Porter nearly shut down the 91st Academy Awards when he showed up in a half-tuxedo, half-gown ensemble.

The look is courtesy of avant-garde fashion designer and "Project Runway" alum Christian Siriano, who beamed as he shared the story behind the garment on Sunday's red carpet. "It was like, if we were gonna do a tuxedo, it couldn't just be a tuxedo," Siriano said during an interview with E! "It needed to be a moment. Billy wanted something different, wanted to push the boundaries. I don't think any man has really worn a gown on the Oscars red carpet before, and Billy was the person to do it. He was really giving a moment."

While Porter's extravagant gown looks like it took months to design, fit and perfect, Siriano said he threw it all together in just one week. "Listen, we had no time. One week!" he said. "I fit his stylist's assistant in this dress because [Billy] was here. He had no time! Fit perfectly, no alterations, you're welcome!" Of the actual garment, Siriano explained it was a "classic tuxedo shirt, jacket that's cropped and a bow." Layered underneath was a "strapless, corseted gown." "The whole idea was that he felt like it was about androgyny," Siriano explained. "There are no rules in fashion. You can be whoever you wanna be and wear what you wanna wear. I think fashion is for anyone. Put on whatever you want that makes you feel good, and that's what it's all about."
