Did you know that George Floyd had worked with killer cop Derek Chauvin as security guard before?
On Thursday evening it was revealed George Floyd had actually worked with Derek Chauvin as security guards at the El Nuevo Rodeo club, the club owner confirmed.
'Chauvin was our off-duty police for almost the entirety of the 17 years that we were open,' Maya Santamaria told KSTP-TV. Santamaria said that she is not sure if the two men knew each other since there were some two dozen security guards, including off-duty officers, working at her club on any given night. But she revealed there were occasions when they would have been working at the same event. 'They were working together at the same time, it's just that Chauvin worked outside and the security guards were inside.'
According to Santamaria, Chauvin had a tendency to flash his temper and overreact to situations. 'He sometimes had a real short fuse and he seemed afraid,' she said.
'When there was an altercation he always resorted to pulling out his mace and pepper spraying everybody right away, even if I felt it was unwarranted.'
The outcry has now reached his front door, as angry protesters drew in chalk on the road and sidewalk outside the couple's $260,000 home in Oakdale: 'A murderer lives here'.
“It’s very shocking,” said Alexander Vasquez Hagen, who worked security at the club several years ago and interacted with Chauvin in that capacity. He said he knew and liked Floyd from the city’s club scene.
“Crazy,” added AJ Jaurequi, a club promoter in the area. He said he wondered if the two men “had some beef with each other, because it’s odd that you’d treat someone you knew like that.”
Maya Santamaria, the club’s former owner, said Floyd, the father of a six-year-old girl, was “a sweetheart” and that “everyone loved him.”
Santamaria said she’d hire Floyd for busy nights, to join the 25 other security guards inside the club. Chauvin, whom she said worked for her nearly every weekend for 17 years, stayed outside, usually in his squad car or checking IDs.
The former club owner paid the officer, as well as three to four others, $55 an hour to keep the peace, something she said “the city made [her] do to stay in operation.”

New video showing George's Floyd apprehension by Minneapolis police appears to show three officers kneeling on the man to keep him restrained on the ground.
The brief clips provide a different angle than the widely publicized video that was filmed on Memorial Day, and appears to show part of the confrontation before things escalated even further. In the footage, Floyd can be heard repeatedly telling the officers that he can't breathe.

Mosques in Dubai may reopen soon! Check out the guidelines seen there
Guidelines for reopening places of worship have started appearing outside of Dubai mosques, although no date has been set by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).
All places of worship were closed on March 16 in response to the coronavirus pandemic and this ruling was extended on April 9.
Guidelines state that ladies prayer halls will remain closed until further notice and people under 12 and over 60 will not be allowed to enter.
An empty row should be left between every two rows of worshippers and there should a 1.5 metre gap between each worshipper.
All should wear gloves and masks and bring their own prayer mat, without discarding or leaving their gloves and masks anywhere.
No handshakes are allowed, instead worshippers should just wave from a distance.
No groups can assemble before or after prayer.
There will be no second prayer or praying alone after the completion of main prayers, and all must leave the mosque once prayer time is over.
Those who are coronavirus patients, or those with chronic disease or weak immunity must not enter the mosque.
The mosque will only be open for 20 minutes during prayers, doors will be left open, but the masjid will close immediately on completion of prayers.
Bathrooms and ablution areas will also remain closed and no distributions, food or otherwise, should be held.

Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been charged with murder after he was seen kneeling on the neck of black man George Floyd in a video of his arrest that sparked violent protests across the country.
The 44-year-old white cop was arrested by state investigators on Friday afternoon and was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced. His arrest comes a day after prosecutors had warned there was 'evidence that did not support criminal charges' in the case saying they needed to prove Chauvin had used 'excessive' force. Freeman said prosecutors were able to formally lay charges after the office 'gathered the evidence that we need.' He did not have immediate details, but said a criminal complaint would be made publicly available later. As for the other three officers who were fired alongside Chauvin over Floyd's death - J Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao - Freeman said the investigation is still ongoing and prosecutors chose to focus on the 'most dangerous perpetrator'. The charges come after three days of riots and protests that erupted across Minneapolis - and several states - demanding justice for 46-year-old Floyd.
In widely circulated footage, Floyd was seen on the ground with his hands cuffed behind his back Chauvin pinned him to the pavement until he lost consciousness and later died.

Forbes is blasting Kylie and her mom, Kris Jenner, for what it claims was a "web of lies" surrounding the success of Kylie Cosmetics. It all centers around the companies financials from 2016 to 2018. Remember, Forbes crowned her the world's youngest-ever "self-made" billionaire in August 2018. According to Forbes, the family invited them into their mansions and CPA's offices. Here's what the magazine says it was told:
The Jenners provided documents showing Kylie's company's annual revenue from 2016 to 2018 was somewhere between $307 million to $360 million per year. Forbes now says the real numbers were $125 mil for 2018, $177 mil for 2017 ... and Forbes doesn't provide a number for 2016, but claims it was still greatly exaggerated. The magazine claims the Jenners had accountants create false tax returns "to help juice Forbes' estimate of Kylie's earnings and net worth."
Important to note, Forbes is not saying she filed false tax returns with the government. Now, don't get it twisted ... she ain't broke.
Forbes' readjusted numbers claim she's actually worth just south of $900 million. So, she'll get to billionaire status at some point ... Forbes just thinks she cut corners to make it look like she got there early.
Kylie's legal team is now involved in the situation, attorney Michael Kump tells us, "We have reviewed Forbes’ article accusing Kylie of engaging in deceit and a 'web of lies' to inflate her net worth. The article is filled with outright lies. Forbes’ accusation that Kylie and her accountants 'forged tax returns' is unequivocally false and we are demanding that Forbes immediately and publicly retract that and other statements."
Kump continues, "It is sad that, of all things, Forbes has devoted 3 reporters to investigate the effect of the coronavirus crisis on Kylie’s net worth. We would not expect that from a supermarket tabloid, much less from Forbes." 8:56 AM PT -- Kylie is firing back at Forbes, saying, "what am i even waking up to. i thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period." She continues by quoting the article, "'even creating tax returns that were likely forged' that’s your proof? so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am i reading."

Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli reveals he had the deadly coronavirus
Renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli said on Tuesday he had caught the novel coronavirus but was now recovered, describing the experience as "a nightmare".
Bocelli, who has been blind since age 12, raised spirits in Italy during the pandemic, which has killed nearly 33,000 people, by singing alone in Milan's Duomo on April 12. That was just over a month after the 61-year-old had tested positive for the virus.
"It was a tragedy, my whole family was contaminated," he told journalists at a hospital in Pisa where he had gone with his wife to donate their plasma for COVID-19 research. The blood plasma will be used by scientists hoping to develop treatments.
"We all had a fever - though thankfully not high ones - with sneezing and coughing," Bocelli said. "I had to cancel many concerts... It was like living a nightmare because I felt like I was no longer in control of things. I was hoping to wake up at any moment," he said.
The singer, who has sold over 90 million records worldwide, said he "thanks God" he was not a politician who had to take decisions but felt there was "too much scaremongering" about COVID-19 in Italy now the crisis appears to have passed its peak.

Kylie Jenner has yet again held onto her title as Forbes’ youngest self-made billionaire for the second year in a row, thanks to the success of her beauty empire Kylie Cosmetics.
Although her brand has earned her a ton of money (she sold 51% of it to Coty Inc. for $600 million last year), Jenner also makes a pretty penny thanks to her social media accounts - with a new study estimating she makes hundreds of thousands with a single Instagram post. With a following of over 175 million users, a study conducted by MyProtein estimated that she stands to earn $983,400 per sponsored post.
The study found that she was the Kardashian family member with the most valuable Instagram account, though she was followed closely behind by her sister Kim Kardashian West who could earn $954,000 per sponsored post. Previously, Instagram analytics company Hopper HQ estimated that Jenner was not only the highest earning Instagram user in the Kardashian clan - but in all of Hollywood.
Last year, it declared her the queen of Instagram sponsorships with an estimated sponsorship cost of $1 million per post; beating Selena Gomez who came into second place with $800,000. The dip in earnings could be linked to COVID-19, as digital agency Attain found that there had been a 33% decrease in potential earnings compared to last year.
Influencers as a whole are also estimated to have lost out an average of £2,934 per week in contrast to 2019 sponsorship earnings, as brands have kept a tighter rein on their advertising budgets over the pandemic period.
Although Jenner typically uses her Instagram to promote her own Kylie Cosmetics products, she does do sponsored posts.
Last year, she promoted beauty supplement brand Sugar Bear Hair and has in the past promoted slimming detox teas - a move which has courted controversy.
