Saudi Arabia announces Riyadh’s bid for #Expo2030

We trust Saudi to deliver, you should see their pavilion here at the Expo 2020 Dubai!
Marvellous!!
Saudi Arabia intends to bid to host the Expo 2030 world fair, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said on Friday, part of the de facto ruler's push to transform the kingdom's economy and diversify it away from oil. The Saudi capital Riyadh has submitted a formal request to host Expo 2030 under the theme "The era of change: Leading the planet to a foresighted tomorrow", a statement said. Gulf neighbour and regional business hub the United Arab Emirates is currently hosting the Expo 2020 world fair in Dubai.
The bid, which was submitted to the expo organising body the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), will be led by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. Prince Mohammed said the 2030 Expo in Riyadh would coincide with the culmination of the kingdom's economic reform program known as Vision 2030, and allow the kingdom to share lessons from that programme.
In a letter to the BIE, the Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, said:
“We live in an era of change, and we face an unprecedented need for humanity’s collective action.” “It is clear that the whole world, as a collective, needs to work together to foresee the future and address, with its brightest minds, the challenges and opportunities that emanate from this change.”
The Crown Prince highlighted that “the 2030 World Expo in Riyadh will coincide with the culmination of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.” Expo 2030 will take place from October 1, 2030 to April 1, 2031. The theme proposed by Saudi Arabia is “The era of change: Leading the planet to a foresighted tomorrow," local media reported.

Will R. Kelly's 3 Grammys be rescinded?

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. says rumors about R. Kelly’s Grammys being rescinded now that the singer has a criminal conviction are just rumors at the moment.
Via Revolt:
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. shut down rumors that the “Ignition” singer’s three Grammys have been revoked, although he was just convicted on sex trafficking charges. “I think it’s something that we’re going to need to take a good hard look at, have a lot of conversations about, work through and make a decision,” Mason said. Back in 1997, Kelly won Grammys in three separate categories for “I Believe I Can Fly,” the hit single from the Space Jam soundtrack. Following his conviction, his music sales reportedly soared tremendously.
The 12 Play singer saw “double-digit growth” in streams and “triple-digit growth” in sales, according to Rolling Stone. From Sept. 27 to Oct. 3, Kelly’s on-demand audio plays grew by 22 percent, while his video streams increased by 23 percent compared to the previous week. His album sales surged by 517 percent and his streams jumped from 11.2 million to 13.4 million.
R. Kelly was reportedly put on suicide watch after his conviction.
His lawyer, however, confirmed days later that he had been removed from the categorization.
TOYsters, do you think R. Kelly's 3 Grammys should be rescinded?
I personally think not!!!!

Tesla's Chief Executive Elon Musk is now the richest person on the planet

The surge in Tesla Inc's stock market value beyond $1 trillion on Monday is a double bonanza for Chief Executive Elon Musk, the electric car maker's largest shareholder.
The stock rallied 12.7% on news that Tesla landed its biggest-ever order from rental car company Hertz. Tesla’s stock soared on Monday after Hertz announced plans to buy 100,000 electric vehicles (mainly Model 3 sedans) for its rental car fleet, pushing up Musk’s fortune by $25.6 billion since Friday’s market close.
His net worth, as of the market close on Monday, climbed to a whopping $255.2 billion, Forbes estimates—making him the richest he’s ever been, and likely the richest person to ever walk the planet. He’s wealthier than any billionaire Forbes has ever tracked: Musk is worth more than Google cofounder Larry Page (No. 6 richest) and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (No. 7 richest) combined.
Musk receives no salary at Tesla: his pay package provides 12 options tranches that vest when Tesla's market capitalization and financial growth hit a series of rising milestones.
The options let Musk buy Tesla shares at $70 each, a discount of more than 90% from their current price.

Photos: How Alec Baldwin mistakenly killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on movie set of #Rust!

This is really pathetic!
A distraught Alec Baldwin said on Friday there are 'no words to convey his shock and sadness' after accidentally shooting and killing the female cinematographer on the set of his new movie Rust, and that he was cooperating fully with the police investigation into what happened. Baldwin accidentally killed Halyna Hutchins, a 42-year-old married mother-of-two and the Director of Photography on his new movie on a ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Thursday at 1.50pm.

He is believed to have fired a single round from a prop gun that somehow struck both Hutchins and the movie's director, 48-year-old Joel Souza. Witnesses cited by Showbiz 411 said the single bullet struck Hutchins in the body, and pierced Souza's clavicle. Hutchins was airlifted to the hospital but was pronounced dead. Souza was taken to the hospital by ambulance but was released on Thursday evening. Baldwin, 63, was taken to the sheriff's department to be questioned. He was released without charge after giving a tearful interview.

Afterwards, he was photographed doubled over in shock and grief as he spoke on the phone.

In two tweets on Friday, Baldwin said described the shooting as a 'tragic accident.

'There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I'm fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,' he said. Hutchins' grieving husband Matthew told DailyMail.com on Friday morning that he had spoken with the actor.

'I have spoken with Alec Baldwin and he is being very supportive,' he said. It remains unconfirmed if it was a live round or a blank that was fired; a prop masters' union described it on Friday morning as a 'live round' and Baldwin was heard asking people around him why he'd been handed a 'hot gun'. 'In all my years, I’ve never been handed a hot gun,' he was heard saying.

A spokesman for both the film production and Baldwin said on Thursday night that it was an accident involving a 'gun loaded with blanks'. It is common on movie sets for actors to use real guns loaded with blanks or dummy bullets to give a more lifelike effect in shooting.
But it remains unclear how a blank could have killed Hutchins, or how a live round accidentally ended up in the gun's chamber when Baldwin pulled the trigger. The movie's prop master - who is ordinarily in charge of the weapons - has not yet been named.

Last month, actor Jensen Ackles told a conference in Denver how he'd been able to 'choose' his own gun from the female armorer in a haphazard training session.

Photos: 70 y.o woman gives birth to her first child, a baby boy

Things that make you go WOW!
An Indian woman claims to have had her first child at the age of 70, making her one of the oldest first-time mothers in the world. Jivunben Rabari and her husband Maldhari, 75, proudly showed off their son - whose name they have not revealed - to reporters as they said he had been conceived through IVF. Rabari has said she does not have ID to prove her age, but told reporters it was 70, which would make her one of the oldest first mothers in the world.
However, another Indian woman, Erramatti Mangayamma, is believed to be the oldest after having twin girls in September 2019 at the age of 74. Rabari and Maldhari, from a small village called Mora in Gujurat, India, have been married for 45 years and have been trying unsuccessfully for a baby for decades. They were able to have a child through IVF, which can be effective after menopause.
The couple's doctor Naresh Bhanushali said it was 'one of the rarest cases I have ever seen'.

Former US President Thomas Jefferson's copy of the Quran now on display at #Expo2020Dubai

After leaving its home at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. for the first time, a rare copy of the Quran owned by former US President Thomas Jefferson is on exhibit at the USA pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai.
This is the first time that this copy of the Quran has been taken out of the country after its initial arrival in America.
This copy of the Quran is a translation in English with a prologue written by George Sale. In 1764, the two-volume collection was published in London. Jefferson, who served as president of the United States for two terms from 1801 to 1809, is said to have obtained this copy of the Quran while studying law as a young man.
The Quran, as well as a framed map of Makkah, were transported from the Library of Congress using a custom-made hardwood container with four inches of cushioning and specialized trays, as well as a sensor that detects vibrations and temperature changes.

Kim Kardashian is still divorcing Kanye West! She buys him out of family home!!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may seem closer than ever, but as of today new documents were filed in their ongoing divorce — and they’re still dividing assets as planned.
According to The Blast

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star filed with the court a distribution of assets, which includes details on the former couple’s deal on their custom-built home. We’re told Kardashian “bought him out of the house” after they split, and of course, it was in the millions. The recent filing is a bit shocking, considering many believed they might be getting back together after being seen together in New York.

As we reported, Kanye accompanied Kim to rehearsals for ‘Saturday Night Live’ — and was spotted backstage during her appearance. Kim’s legal team filed an “Advance Distribution of certain assets,” which essentially lays out items (like the house) that the former couple has already agreed on splitting up.
As we reported, Kanye agreed to let KK take the home, considering she is willing to buy him out of the property. It should be noted, the monster estate is worth $60 Million, and was custom built from the ground. Also, Kanye headed up the build, working with famous architects like Axel Vervoordt, taking several years to complete. We’re told the negotiations between the two are going well, and Kanye agreed to turn over the estate without arguing the point.
According to reports, Kanye recently put his Wyoming ranch on the market — and purchased a $57 million beach house in Malibu. In other words, it seems he is fine with his new digs and the financial deal. But, our sources say, the divorce is fully back on — and it was never really stalled.
The couple hasn’t gotten back together, but are working on their friendship and co-parenting their four children.

Tinubu: Return of the “Jagaban” - Reuben Abati

Tinubu: Return of the “Jagaban” by Reuben Abati.
The measure of the importance and relevance of the man known as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that since the return to civilian rule in 1999, he has managed to remain a major reference in the politics of Lagos State, the South West of Nigeria, and parts of the West African sub-region.  He could be described as one of those creations of the tumultuous moments in Nigerian history following the annulment of the June 12, 1993 Presidential elections in Nigeria. Before then, Tinubu was a regular technocrat working in an oil company as a Treasurer. He also served briefly as a Senator of the Federal Republic representing Lagos South West in 1992. History transforms people and creates enduring magic, lumping together event, identity, and symbolism in a notable capsule. Tinubu joined the June 12 struggle as activist, mobiliser and financier. Like most young men of his generation at the time, he wanted the best for Nigeria. He was opposed to the tyranny and the injustice perpetrated by the military. He joined the protesters at the barricades. In a country where the majority feared the military, Tinubu was one of those who stood up in defence of the values of justice, equity and national progress. I was a witness to the history of the period and the narrative of Tinubu’s becoming.

In 1999, he was justly rewarded by the leaders of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), the emergent, dominant political party in the South West, as well as the people of Lagos, with the Governorship of Lagos State. With that, a political phenomenon was born. Tinubu is in a firm position to write a book of great value on the intrigues and risks of politics in Nigeria. But unlike many, he has demonstrated a high degree of capacity for survival and re-invention. The man has managed over the years to overcome every obstacle placed in his path, and wax stronger. His travails have been many including the drama over the discrepancies in his INEC form, his age and educational qualifications, allegations about his real identity, the plans to remove him from office, disagreements with the then Federal Government led by President Olusegun Obasanjo, and the boldness with which he took on the formidable General on the field and in the law courts over controversial constitutional issues.

One after the other, Tinubu fought every battle and stood firm. In 2003, he was the only survivor in office, the last man standing, as the ruling party seized control of the South West. This alone, and the manner in which Tinubu consolidated his growing reputation as a political strategist in Nigerian politics further brought him to public attention. He not only got a second term as Governor, ending his tenure in 2007, he has also earned a place for himself in the politics of Lagos State by having a say in determining the tone, direction and rhythm of Lagos State politics since then, same in the South West and beyond.  No other politician in recent South West Nigerian politics has exercised such mythical hold on the politics of a people and region.

Before him, there was Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the nationalist who became the symbol of the aspirations of his people in the Nigerian Federation. There was also Chief MKO Abiola: the icon and martyr whose heroism and sacrifice served as foundation and catalyst for Nigeria’s return to democracy and the exit of the military. And Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the soldier turned democratic ruler who is one of the most important men of his time. And then Tinubu happened and grew bigger, to the utter consternation of even his fiercest critics. By 2011, it had become near-impossible for anyone to become Governor in the South West or President of Nigeria, or anything at all in Lagos State from Councillor to Controller of Motor Parks, without the Tinubu factor or a trip to Bourdillon. In 2014, he was the main spirit behind the coalition that led to the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and that party’s eventual triumph that led to the displacement at the centre, of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) which up till that moment had ruled Nigeria for 16 years.

Tinubu has been many things to many people. It is not for nothing that he is regarded as the “Lion of Bourdilllon”. He lives on Bourdillon Road, a well-appointed street in the Ikoyi quarters of Lagos. It is widely agreed that Tinubu’s home in Bourdillon is where every major decision about Lagos politics is taken. It is the political headquarters of Lagos whereas Alausa in Ikeja is the administrative headquarters of the state. The Governor of Lagos State is like a Viceroy, representing the interests of and carrying out the wishes of the Lion of Bourdillon. Whoever dares the “Lion” does so at his or her own peril. Tinubu has exercised such powers over the politics of the state that used to be the federal capital of Nigeria and certainly the country’s commercial centre, with near-absolute magisterial certainty. He is the Godfather, the head of an inner circle of power brokers with tentacles beyond what the ordinary man can imagine. He is the Jagaban. He has other Chieftaincy titles including the Asiwaju which simply means “Leader” but whereas he shares other titles with others, whereas there are others who go by the descriptions: of Godfather, or Asiwjau his is the only name that is immediately thrown up when the title of Jagaban is mentioned.  Jagaban in popular Hausa-Nigerian expression means “a strong person who is unshakeable, a champion and a leader who others follow.” Tinubu is the Jagaban of Borgu. Of all the titles that he has been decorated with, this has been the most reflective of his persona. He himself has been quoted as saying: “Ï am the Jagaban..” There is an onomatopoiec ring to the sound of the name that literally makes it invocative. Tinubu and his allies have deftly turned that sound into a call-sign. We are dealing with a man and a persona, a political figure whose methods and style deserve a full study, in terms of impact and essence.

The extent to which this may be worthy, was demonstrated in the last three months with the relocation of the Jagaban to the United Kingdom for a knee surgery and the time he spent there to recuperate. Afresh, Tinubu became all over again, a person of interest. There were rumours that he had died. But that was quickly debunked. He was also accused of seeking medical help abroad whereas if he and his allies had helped to build a world-class health infrastructure in Nigeria, he and other members of the privileged elite would not have needed to waste scarce foreign exchange to strengthen the medical systems in Europe at the slightest rumble of their ear-drums. Tinubu’s medical trip should be further read in the context of the fact that his supporters have been busy at home and abroad promoting him as the best man for the Presidency of Nigeria in 2023. His posters have been on the streets of Lagos, although the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to announce a timetable for the commencement of 2023 political campaigns and political parties are still busy discussing the politics of zoning and power rotation.

Many groups have also emerged with the loudest being the Tinubu Support Group, The Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju and the South West Agenda for Asiwaju Tinubu (SWAGA), dancing and drumming all over the place. Key voices in civil society have been on record trying to sell the Tinubu candidacy to Nigerians.  In a demonstration of desperation, Tinubu’s allies turned his period of convalescence in London into another opportunity for political campaigns and the deification of the man they regard as their Godfather.  Tinubu’s place of abode in London became a place of pilgrimage. For more than a month, Nigerians were treated to photos, practically on a daily basis, of persons trooping to London to pay homage to the Jagaban. Men. Women. Politicians. Business leaders.  Delegations from different parts of the country. British Immigration must have been wondering how and why one man received so many visitors from Nigeria. Despite COVID-19 and the travel restrictions. And the cost of travel at a time like this. Those get-well visits had the colouring of sheer sycophancy and hypocrisy, but no one wanted to be left out. I didn’t see one or two APC Governors from the South West though, some Ministers, and some of those people who have quietly distanced themselves from the song and dance about a likely Tinubu Presidency. I was afraid, however, that at some point Lagos market women and motor park touts led by their Gucci-wearing leaders would also show up in London.

Tinubu’s managers themselves kept the records dutifully, capturing everything on video and releasing the copies for dramatic effect. The President of Nigeria visited too. No one was meant to be in any doubt about the stature of the man whose knee surgery had become a rallying point for political solidarity. The most telling perhaps was the APC delegation from the National Assembly that went all the way to London to greet their party leader. On that occasion, one of the visitors actually referred to Tinubu as “Mr. President!”   You can’t ever put anything past Nigerians. In other parts of the world, the knee is a powerful statement of affirmation. In contrast, we saw many Nigerian leaders kissing Tinubu’s knee as political talisman.

But the man is back. He returned quietly at night a few days ago. Last Friday, to be specific. The arrival time must have been carefully chosen in order not to disrupt traffic in the city of Lagos. How thoughtful. But in these days of instant news, nobody needs that old-fashioned, attention-grabbing style anymore. Before Tinubu completed immigration processes at the airport, long before he could get to his home in Ikoyi, Nigerian social media had been informed of his arrival, with compelling photographic evidence. The Governor of Lagos State was at the airport to receive the Jagaban specially and personally. I was woken up from sleep to be reminded that “Ëko had returned!” “Eko”, that is the Yoruba name for Lagos. Tinubu had become so powerful that his allies have long substituted his name with that of Lagos, or they use both, one for the other; simultaneously. When Tinubu goes to bed, it means in the imagination of his allies that the entire city had gone to bed. When he wakes up in the morning, that is when Lagos wakes up, they say. The only people who say this is not the case are those groups where they say all kinds of negative things about the APC chieftain, and yet since 1999, they have not been able to displace him.

What is Tinubu’s staying power? Will a day ever come when he and his allies would be told in Lagos that “O to o gee?” And when will that happen? The Tinubu strategy of political dominance is the secret wish of many of his critics, but what is it that they lack that Tinubu deploys seemingly effortlessly? If Tinubu manages to win the APC Presidential ticket and emerges as Nigeria’s next President, the political future of many in the South West and the South generally may have been sealed forever. It is not for this reason however that I have been critical of the Tinubu ambition which has been expressed more by proxy. I do not think that the North wants to leave the throne to allow a Southern President take over in 2023. In Nigeria, the Presidency is a throne. The President is a monarch of sorts. The divine right of kings means that they can do as they wish. Tinubu is so involved in the Nigerian project, his critics would consider his possession of the biggest prize in the land an act of self-immolation for them. If Tinubu insists on running for President, he would also have sealed the political future of many of his associates who are also interested in the position but would not dare say so publicly if the Godfather is involved. I smell a rat. Is Tinubu playing a tactical game, the full details of which may be unraveled soon?

On Sunday, October 10, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu hosted a welcome-back event for the Jagaban at the Lagos House, Marina, Lagos. The ThisDay Newspaper of October 11, at page 6, captured the spirit of the welcome party with a photo captioned:  “Gathering of  Tinubu Boys”. This is a picture that contains the faces of Speaker of the House of Representatives, the state Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, members of the state Executive Council, and a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council.  Boys!  Tinubu also reportedly staged a small gig of his own where he attended to the party faithful. Whatever happens with the hustle and jostle for the 2023 Presidential election, the Jagaban of Lagos may have succeeded in positioning his home in Bourdillon, Lagos as a major rendezvous as the game unfolds and he may never at the end of the day throw his hat into the ring. If that were to be the case, what then would happen to the SWAGA crowd? What will they eat? But of course, Nigerian politicians are shameless. They will adjust as the wind blows and make a case for their swagger as the tide changes.

Two parting shots for Tinubu: beyond the dancing, singing and photo-ops, as he returns home, he should check the roof of the party he helped to build. His roof is leaking. The APC is standing on one leg, and that has been so since the Ondo State Gubernatorial case. Can he and his associates harmonize the party? This may affect his own political future. And really, can it be said today, that Tinubu is still in control of the South West? The Jagaban should listen sometimes to his critics and less to the eye-service million men at his door.

Abu Dhabi's updated Green List includes Morocco & 81 other destinations

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced a further update to the ‘Green List’ of countries for inbound travel into Abu Dhabi.
The updated list includes 82 destinations, and all travellers arriving from the updated ‘Green List’ destinations are exempt from quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi.
The list has been in effect since Friday, October 8.
The list supports the easing of travel restrictions whilst maintaining safety protocols in the emirate. Travellers will be required to present a negative PCR COVID-19 test result, valid for a maximum of 48 hours before departure, and undergo a PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Vaccinated passengers from the updated ‘Green List’ will take another PCR test on Day 6, with the day of their arrival into Abu Dhabi counting as Day 1. Unvaccinated travellers arriving from ‘Green List’ countries will, on the other hand, take a PCR test on Days 6 and 9.

The list is regularly updated based on international developments, and the DCT has said that inclusion on the list is subject to strict criteria of health and safety protocols for travel, ensuring and prioritising the well-being of the UAE community. The authority has also clarified that the placementioned on the ‘Green List’ refer to the departure point of travellers, and not their citizenship.

#Stronger: After nearly 2 decades in the rap game, Kanye West earns his first diamond song

Kanye West finally has a diamond-certified record thanks to ‘Stronger’.
The Chicago native’s song “Stronger” has gone 10x platinum, according to chart data. via: Uproxx Landing a hit record is already hard enough, but a Diamond-certified song is even harder. Luckily for Kanye West, he recently achieved both thanks to one of the most popular songs off his third album Graduation. The Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) announced that the rapper’s 2007 track “Stronger” just became his first Diamond-certified single. What that denotes is that the single sold at least 10 million copies since its release 14 years ago. Four months after its release, “Stronger” became the rapper’s third No. 1 single when it reached the top of the singles chart at the end of September in 2007. Additionally, the song won a plethora of awards, which includes Best Hip-Hop Video at the 2007 BET Awards, Video Of The Year, Best Director, and Best Editing at the 2007 MTV VMAs, and Best Rap Solo Performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

One of the most infamous stories behind “Stronger” is that it was reportedly mixed more than 75 times before and after its release. West worked with eight audio engineers and 11 mix engineers from all over the world on the song, but it wasn’t until he called on Timbaland to re-do the track’s drum programming that he felt satisfied. Still, West later decided the song wasn’t nearly as good as Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” which he sampled for “Stronger.”
Look below to see the chart data.

Congratulations Kanye!

In celebration of the rapper’s 33rd birthday, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna attended a Wizkid concert at Los Angeles’ Novo Theater over the weekend.
The birthday outing follows up on several date nights that fans of the couple have been privy to lately — including RiRi and A$AP being each other’s dates to the Met Gala last month and that infamous night Rihanna wasn’t allowed inside an NYC barcade with the “Wild for the Night” rapper while the two were hitting the town.

Why Facebook, WhatsApp & Instagram were down for 6 hours! #FacebookDown #WhatsAppDown #InstagramDown

What an evening!
Facebook Inc blamed a “faulty configuration change” for a nearly six-hour outage on Monday that prevented the company’s 3.5 billion users from accessing its social media and messaging services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
Several Facebook employees who declined to be named had told Reuters earlier that they believed that the outage was caused by an internal mistake in how internet traffic is routed to its systems.
The failures of internal communication tools and other resources that depend on that same network in order to work compounded the error, the employees said. Security experts have said an inadvertent mistake or sabotage by an insider were both plausible. “We want to make clear at this time we believe the root cause of this outage was a faulty configuration change,” Facebook said in the blog.
The Facebook outage is the largest ever tracked by web monitoring group Downdetector.
The outage was the second blow to the social media giant in as many days after a whistleblower on Sunday accused the company of repeatedly prioritizing profit over clamping down on hate speech and misinformation.

As the world flocked to competing apps such as Twitter and TikTok, shares of Facebook fell 4.9 per cent, their biggest daily drop since last November, amid a broader selloff in technology stocks on Monday. Shares rose about half a percent in after-hours trade following resumption of service.
“To every small and large business, family, and individual who depends on us, I’m sorry,” Facebook Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer tweeted, adding that it “may take some time to get to 100%.” “Facebook basically locked its keys in its car,” tweeted Jonathan Zittrain, director of Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.
Twitter on Monday reported higher-than-normal usage, which led to some issues in people accessing posts and direct messages.
