Two women are dead and four others injured after a gunman opened fire in a Clovis, New Mexico, library Monday.
Police said a teenager is in custody, and early reports indicate he is a sophomore at a local high school. Those killed were library employees. A witness told The Eastern New Mexico News that she was working at the reference desk when she heard a “very loud bang” and dove under a table to hide. Lisa Baird said the shooter roamed the library firing at will, and yelled to those inside “Run! Why aren’t you running? I’m shooting at you! Run!” Police have not released any motive for the attack. The condition of the four people injured is not known.
