Four Chinese people from the same family who travelled to the emirates from Wuhan in Hubei have been taken into hospital after becoming ill. The Wuhan coronavirus death toll now sits at 133, and more than 6,000 people have now been infected around the world – mostly in China.
A four-member Chinese family infected with the new coronavirus are the first confirmed cases in the UAE, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) revealed on Wednesday (complete coverage on coronavirus). The statement clarified that "all family members are in stable condition and the situation was contained by following the most necessary precautionary measures adopted globally when dealing with infected cases".

MoHAP confirmed that, in coordination with health and all concerned authorities in the country, it has taken "all the necessary precautions in accordance with the scientific recommendations, conditions and standards approved by the World Health Organisation".
