Photos: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the brother of the King of Dubai is laid to rest

A sad period in the Emirates.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday laid his late brother Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to rest at Zabeel Mosque. 

HH Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai carried the body to his final resting place in Umm Hurair cemetery. 

Dubai will observe a mourning period for 10 days, government institutions will close for three days, starting today,Thursay. 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, performed his brother’s funeral prayers. 

Sheikh Hamdan was 75 years old.
