Photos: Dubai Mall was affected by the heavy rain today, causing leakages & floods IN the mall

Parts of The Dubai Mall were submerged underwater on Sunday, following downpours during the day.

A video shared showed the Kate Spade New York store experiencing large amounts of water on the store floor, while attendants quickly worked to clear the water. The waters were cleared quickly by crews following the flooding, which also caused outages on some elevators and electrical services. The Dubai Mall management issued a statement following the flooding.

We can confirm that #TheDubaiMall was affected by the heavy rainfall, causing leakages which we are working to contain.
