Dubai to get its own Walk of Fame with 10,000 celebrities including social influencers

Dubai is getting its own 'Walk of Fame' with stars for 10,000 celebrities and influencers, it has been announced.

The project will pay tribute to "eminent personalities who have positively influenced the world through their work" across various fields including music, film, art, sports and literature. Social influencers will also be celebrated, with the public asked to vote for the first 400 names in an online nominations process. The Walk of Fame will be set along the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai and will be four times the size of the legendary walkway in Hollywood.
The first phase will be unveiled in October at a glittering mega-event attended by the 400 featured celebrities. Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties:

It is hoped that the Walk of Fame will become one of the city's most-visited tourist attractions, with a diverse range of celebrities featured.
