Champion: Simone Biles won a history-making fourth gold medal in the all-around competition at the world championships in Doha, Qatar, on Thursday
The 21-year-old, who was also battling a kidney stone, left her fellow gymnasts in awe after her win, with one teammate describing the victory as 'absolutely insane', while others noted that her ability to top the podium even after a sub-par performance is a sign of just how skilled she is - and how much better she is than her competitors. However, despite walking away with a gold medal, Simone was left disappointed with her performance in the competition, which took place in Doha, Qatar, on Thursday, confessing: 'It's not the gymnast that I am, to go out there and kind of bomb a meet like this.
Oh dear: Simone sat down her vault landing (pictured), and fell off the beam. She also stepped out of bounds during her floor routine
Frustrating: Simone said after the competition that she didn't believe she deserved to win
On top: Biles' main competition during the all-around, Japan's Mai Murakami, said she never believed she could beat the American, but confessed she was surprised to learn she 'can fall'
Champion: On Friday, Simone went on to win gold in the vault - showing no signs of the wobbles that she displayed during the all-around competition
