Donna Strickland is the first woman to ever win the Nobel Prize in Physics in almost 60 years.
She is also the third women in history to win the Physics prize. She has won alongside Arthur Ashkin and Gérard Mourou. All three won "for groundbreaking inventions in the field of laser physics."
"We need to celebrate women physicists because we're out there," she said upon hearing the news. “Hopefully in time it will move forward at a faster rate. I am honored to be one of those women.”
Who else didn't like Physics like me in Secondary School? lol
