Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, is the world's third richest man.

Tesla now boasts a market value of roughly $630billion, far more than any other automaker and 14 times more than what the company was worth just two years ago.
Its mercurial CEO, Elon Musk, is now sitting on the world's third largest fortune at an estimated $163billion, according to Forbes magazine's calculations.

#FYI: Tips on how to stay mentally strong

Psychiatrists and psychologists offer tips on how to stay mentally strong.
Psychologists and psychiatrists in the UAE reckon that there has been a considerable increase in the numbers when it comes to mental health issues amid Covid-19.
Many residents have been unable to travel to their home countries because of flight suspensions; some others are reeling under pay cuts or job insecurity, and many children have been learning online and are away from their friends and classmates. All of these have caused a rise in mental health issues.
Dr Reena Thomas, a clinical psychologist at Medeor Hospital in Dubai suggested remedial measures to counter the effects on mental health.

Tips to stay mentally strong:

>> Identify whether we or our friends/family are affected by stress. Many would be in denial. We could be depressed or anxious, but our unprovoked anger or irritability, sleeplessness, decreased concentration and many unexplained medical symptoms could all be a cry for mental help.

>> Identify the stressors. Classify them as what is under your control (how to keep in touch with family or plan your finances or following Covid protocols) and what is not (when flights will restart or when the pandemic will end).

>> See what you can do about things under your control and build an action priority matrix.

>> Manage your emotions, be it anger, sadness or frustration, in a healthy way so that your quality of life is not affected.

>> Be more mindful and consciously avoid believing all that you hear on social media or the negative information you get from others.

>> Keep an activity schedule. Learn relaxation/breathing exercises or meditation. What works for one may not work for the other, so choose what works for you best.

>> We must be patient with ourselves and understand that this is not the end of life. We are slowing down to help the body and mind recoup.

>> Resilience helps us to combat the challenges we face. We must shift our attention from our weaknesses to our capacity for resilience.

>> We are genetically wired to survive; our job is just to let it happen. Accepting reality helps us to be more prepared for facing realistic outcomes and endure any tough times of life.

>> Practice self-compassion and gratitude journaling.

>> Be open to seeking professional help if required.

Revealed: 10 costliest properties sold in Dubai in 2021

Palm Jumeirah dominates the list of the most popular prime residential area for property buyers, with seven out of 10 transactions in the first half of 2021 involving the tree-shaped island, according to an analysis by Luxhabitat Sotheby’s International Realty.
The first four highest-paid transactions took place for Palm Jumeirah properties ranging between Dh119.5 million to Dh89.18 million.
The fifth costliest transaction was made for a villa on Bulgari Resort on Jumeirah Bay Island for Dh87.5 million.
The sixth transaction also involved a Dh81-million Palm Jumeirah villa followed by a Dh72.38 million transaction for a property located in Emirates Hills.
The eighth and ninth most expensive transactions were also signed for two Palm villas while the 10th costliest villa was sold for Dh68 million in Emirates Hills.

The study covered high-end areas such as Al Barari, Arabian Ranches, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, Business Bay, Emirates Living, Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Mohammed bin Rashid City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Lake Towers, and Palm Jumeirah.
“The post-Covid-19 resilience of UAE’s economy is attracting immense wealth from across the world and especially from Europe, England and Americas.

This exponential growth in high-net-worth end-user buyers is here to stay and it will increase the demand for luxury sector properties through 2021 to next year,” said Chris Whitehead, managing partner of Luxhabitat Sotheby’s International Realty.

In total, 681 apartments and 818 villas were transacted in Q2 2021 in the Dubai prime residential market at a sales volume of Dh16.7 billion, an increase of 43.8 per cent in sales volume.
A strong surge in buyer activity resulted in a nominal 1.4 per cent increase in prices.
The top five areas in terms of sales volume in Q2 were Palm Jumeirah (Dh4.2 billion), MBR City (Dh2.43 billion), Downtown (Dh2.41 billion), Dubai Marina (Dh1.58 billion) and Emirates Living (Dh1.43 billion).

The prime villa market remained stable with an average price of Dh8.04 million in Q2, about 1.65 per cent lower than the previous quarter.
However, the sales volume for prime villas in Dubai at Dh5.9 billion have increased by over 48 per cent from the previous quarter, indicating a keen buyer interest in villas continuing from last year and Q1. For apartments in the prime areas, there was a sales volume surge of 25 per cent to Dh8.2 billion.
The average prime apartment now costs approximately Dh2.1 million.

Photos: Adele's boyfriend is not Nigerian rapper Skepta but LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul

So Adele and Nigerian and Brit rapper Joseph Junior Adenuga aka Skepta are not dating! (anymore, perhaps)!
Adele's new boyfriend Rich Paul was seen for the first time since the pair confirmed their romance with a PDA session at NYC eatery Cipriani on Thursday.
LeBron James' agent Rich, 39, was seen at the Big Apple's Milk Studios on Saturday, where he reportedly met up with the Oscar-winner, 33.
He cut a casual figure in an electric blue tracksuit with white stripes as he waited outside - before allegedly leaving with his new singer girlfriend.
In 2020, Rich made Forbes' list of the world's top 10 most powerful sports agents, hitting No. 9 on the list.

PHOTOS from Jennifer Lopez's 52nd birthday celebration

For her 52nd birthday, Jennifer Lopez aka JLo shared a series of sexy photos — including one of herself and Ben Affleck sharing a kiss.
The “Cambia El Paso” singer showed off a rather steamy kiss with the actor while celebrating her 52nd birthday aboard a boat on Saturday.
In the photos posted to Instagram, Lopez wore a red and yellow chevron, two-piece bathing suit, paired with a brightly-colored caftan, gold jewelry, and a sunhat. Meanwhile, Affleck, 48, opted for a casual button-up top on the water.
“5 2 … what it do …?,” she captioned the romantic images.
Saturday’s birthday post marks the first time Lopez or Affleck have shared anything about their rekindled romance on their own social media accounts.

Photos: Fashion designer, Marc Jacobs' new face after plastic surgery will shock you

Earlier this week, Marc Jacobs debuted his new look after revealing he got a facelift from celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacono.
The fashion designer, 58, showed off a strong jaw, lifted browline and higher cheekbones as he posed for an Instagram shot from inside a hyperbaric oxygen trailer meant to help him speed up healing.
'Getting my oxygen on,' Jacobs captioned the shot, where he gave a shout out to company Hyperbaric Medical Solutions in the caption.
Jacobs never explicitly detailed what type of lift he had, but Dr. Jacono specializes in facial plastic surgery and is known for his mini face lifts.
Below: Before: Jacobs shared this selfie just a few days before he shared that he went under the knife.
Dr. Jacono (pictured below) charges $50,000 for his 'deep plane facelifts,' which he claims last longer than traditional facelifts. It's unclear how much Jacobs' facelift cost.

Burns- What are they, and how do you treat them?

Burns are damage to the skin caused by dry heat, such as an iron or a fire.

This is different to scalds, which occur due to wet heat like hot water or steam.

Burns can be very painful and may cause:

  • Red or peeling skin
  • Blisters
  • Swelling
  • White or charred skin

But the amount of pain a person feels is not always related to how serious the burn is.

Even a very serious burn can be painless.

To treat a burn:

  • Remove the heat source
  • Cool with cool or lukewarm running water for 20 minutes. Do not use ice
  • Remove any nearby clothing or jewellery unless it is stuck to the skin
  • Keep the person warm with a blanket
  • Cover the burn with clingfilm
  • Use painkillers like paracetamol if necessary
  • If the face or eyes are burnt, keep sitting up to reduce swelling

Burns that require immediate A&E treatment are:

  • Chemical or electrical
  • Large or deep - bigger than the injured person's hand
  • Those that cause white or charred skin
  • Those on the face, hands, limbs, feet or genitals that blister

Pregnant women, children under five, the elderly, those with a weak immune system and people suffering from a medical condition, like diabetes, should also go to hospital.

Treatment depends on what layers of the skin are affected.

In severe cases, a skin graft may be required.
